Counselling Therapist M.A., RCC
About Me
Hi, I'm Diana. I am a warm and caring counselling therapist living in beautiful Langley, B.C. I enjoy working with teens, adults and women struggling with family pressures, stress, panic attacks, sadness and more. I help people to process their world, understand their own story, gain tools to help in stressful and chaotic situations and find feelings of calm in their life. I am so passionate about this work as I get to see my clients connect to themselves more and find more ways to have calm and joy in their lives.
I especially enjoy working with women to understand and find their own voices and how to have calm, trust and peace with themselves in their lives. As mothers, how to prepare for the role of being a mother, how to deal with traumas that could impact their role as a mother and how to find confidence and enjoyment in being a mother if they did not feel they had adequate role models or examples themselves to follow.
I use a humanistic, person centred and strengths based approach to therapy as well as utilizing Brainspotting (BSP) and internal family systems (IFS) as well. I believe that a counsellor should fit the theory to the client and not have the client fit the theory. In other words, I try to choose the best approach to serve my clients needs and not fit my client to my favored approach.
My education:
I have a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree (M.A.) in counselling psychology.
I am a registered clinical counsellor (RCC) with the BCACC and I am a trained Brainspotting (BSP) Practitioner.
I am currently taking on clients. There is no time like now to begin a new direction for yourself. I offer a free 30 min introductory call to see if we both feel that we are a good fit to work together. Email me or call me to book today.
